Rapid advances in technology have changed how firms process data and interact with their clients. Business applications and corporate infrastructures are forced to adapt to these changes in order to satisfy growing customer demand for better, faster and easier to access services. Advances in computing, mobile devices, data communications and software architectures also increase the diversity of technology solutions offered beyond the desktop.
It is because of the wide diversity of service offerings, coupled with the emergence of disruptive technologies (such the “Cloud”) that the formation of an XSP Advisory Council on Technology (XACT) became inevitable.
Fundamentally, the XSP product is a technology solution aimed at addressing a set of challenges within a specific business domain. XSP technology and product strategists must remain engaged in these emerging technology innovations – and more importantly how those innovations are adopted by XSP’s clients – in order to effectively plan and implement changes that fulfill client demands.
XACT’s activities will be focused on, but not limited to, technology challenges in the field of Corporate Actions Processing and Announcement Capture. Likewise XACT will collaborate and advise on strategies designed to leverage emerging technologies to better serve XSP’s clients and the industry. The open collaboration of ideas will be facilitated by XSP’s Chief Technology Officer in a process designed to solicit guidance on practical uses for new and emerging technologies.
